Two additions to the pin collection

Some people love collecting cloisonne pins. The pins tell a story about happiness and joy and excitement and adventure.

Heck, there are people who collect Olympic cloisonne pins, some who collect sports team cloisonne pins.

Me? I collect pins that chronicle my journey in life.

For example – I have what may be a full run of Canadian Pacific Holiday Train pins, including a couple of duplicates.

And after last week’s Union Pacific 4014 “Big Boy” train chase, I chose to add two more pins to that achievement pile.

They arrived in last night’s mail.

And yeah, although I did snag some incredible pictures of Big Boy on my journey … these trinkets are personal totems for me.

Yes, it’s the simple pleasures that make me happy.

That, and I also ordered a T-shirt from Union Pacific’s online store.

I didn’t need to place pennies on the track and have Big Boy crunch them under her wheels as a commemorative.

This was just fine in and of itself.

I’m sure you have unique collections of objects in your own personal life.

I’d like to hear what those are. That’s why I have a comments section.

Let me know what your collections include, and why those objects bring you joy.
